CHRONNECT
Privacy Policy
Chronnect (“we”) processes personal information so caregivers, students, and family members can send spoken reminders and text reminders through Voice Touch. We do not sell this information.

Microphone
The microphone is used only while someone is creating an alarm. It is not left on in the background.
- For a one-to-one alarm, the sender records a voice message. That recording is the sound the recipient hears.
- For an alarm title or a sentence to be read aloud, the phone’s speech recognizer turns speech into text. The device maker or Google’s speech service may process that audio. Voice Touch keeps the recognized text.
Group alarms do not upload a voice file. Voice Touch sends the sentence, and the recipient’s phone reads it aloud as the alarm.
Camera
The camera is used only to read an invitation QR code shown on the other person’s screen, so the two devices can connect. Voice Touch does not save or upload the camera image. It is not used for photos or face recognition.
Lock screen, battery saving, and Do Not Disturb
A Voice Touch alarm has to be heard at the scheduled time. If the screen is off, the phone is locked, or battery saving has stopped the app, that alarm can be missed. The person using the phone can allow the following:
- Exact alarms, so the alarm rings at the promised time.
- Notifications and turning the screen on, so the phone wakes and the alarm screen opens over the lock screen.
- A battery-optimization exception, so the alarm can still ring after the app has been put to sleep.
- Do Not Disturb, so the alarm can ring when the user has allowed this app and has enabled alarm and media sounds. Voice Touch does not turn off the phone’s total silence.
- Restoring scheduled alarms after the phone restarts.
These permissions are not used to watch the user, record the screen, or read other apps over the lock screen. Each permission can be turned off in the phone’s settings. Turning one off limits only that way of ringing the alarm.
Other information we process
- Sign-in: Kakao or Google accounts are used to tell users apart.
- Connections: a device identifier, display name, the name on an invitation, and the device token used to deliver notifications.
- Alarms: title, time, repeat schedule, the sentence to be read aloud, and which connection sent and received the alarm.
- Voice files: a one-to-one recording is uploaded so it can be delivered.
- Error logs: if the app crashes or a delivery fails, a diagnostic record may be sent to Google Firebase so we can fix it.
How long we keep it
A one-to-one voice file stays in the cloud for 7 days after the alarm is confirmed or has passed, and is then deleted. If the user chooses to keep a recording, that 7-day limit does not apply. Each connection can keep up to 30 recordings. A group alarm is spoken on the recipient’s phone, and that sound file stays on that phone.
Services we use
Voice Touch uses Google Firebase (Authentication, database, file storage, messaging, and Crashlytics) to deliver alarms, sign users in, and diagnose errors. Sign-in also uses Kakao and Google. Those companies process the information needed for sign-in or speech recognition under their own policies.
Your choices
You can disconnect a pairing, delete alarms and voice files, and sign out. Questions and deletion requests can be sent to the contact email above.
